A light shines brightly thru the glass roof of a room, the sounds of hoof steps can be heard, the room wall's marked with colors ranging from white, blue, and cyan. In the center is wooden table that was crafted in a circular shape, the edges of the table line with a golden trim. A Pegasus walks by the table, a small colt follows shortly after at the side of the Pegasus. The small colt looks around the room in awe looking at the large selection of books, scrolls, and manuscripts. The colt looks up at the Pegasus and then crouches down to the floor slowly sneaking off with a smile on his face. The colt, with a coat of white that could only be described as white as snow, his mane and tail mixed with the vivid color's of black and blue, but easily separated from each other. The young colt spreads out his wings and flaps them a bit allowing him to hover in the air as he reaches his hoof's out and grabs a scroll clutching it tightly against him. The young colt looks up and see's an avalanche of books and scroll's fall towards him, the colt lets out a cry and falls to the floor with the books and scroll's landing on top of him. The Pegasus that came in the colt turned his head and yelled out "Quill!?!" the stallion runs in the direction of the colt and push the books aside with his wing, the young colt smiles and holds up the scroll to the stallion "This one daddy! Read this one! Tee-hee!" the young colts smile is wide and full of life, almost as he completely forgotten the incident with the books falling on him. The stallion rolls his eyes and smiles and replies "Alright then." The colt laughs and giggles in delight as he rubs his head against his fathers leg "Hehehe love you daddy!" the father smiles and responds with a "I love you too." As the two walk out of the library they are stop by a unicorn at the main door, her mane soft and long and colored in a beautiful earth brown, along with the rest of her body. Her bright green eyes look at the two Pegasus's. She looks at the older of the two and smiles "Did our son rush off for you to read a scroll again Max?" The father takes his wing and rubs the back of his neck and blushes smiling "Yea he was eager again to hear some history. How are the other unicorns in training, Willow?" The unicorn sighs and pulls out a blue gem "Not very well actually, this gem we found in the mountain's surrounding our castle has yet to respond to any of the new batches of recruits, I guess this gem is just a regular one." She put's the gem into a pouch and looks down at the young colt and rubs her nose on his "And how is my creative lil one today?" The young colt giggles, but then look's down and turns his head to his flank. "I still don't have my mark yet...." Max and Willow smile and look at each other, Max takes his wing and places it on his son's head "Don't worry you will get it soon." The family walks out of the library and the view is shifted out of the library and shows a vast kingdom! The castle towering high over a small village right at the front gates, behind the castle is a mountain almost in a cresting shape, it would be simple to say that the huge mountain side is hugging the castle. A voice echo's as the view looks over the sight of the town and castle.
"Yea that's right, I live in a castle, and the young colt you saw, yea that's me. My name is Quill Inkheart, this is my home. It's the Gem Kingdom. You could say it rivals the Crystal Empire, but we don't have crystals covering the land. The walls of the mountain have special gems, and these gems we harvest and give to fully trained unicorns in the royal army, to help enhance there magic to a certain degree." The view shifts down to the young colt running thru the city streets holding and apple in his mouth and being chase by an earth pony yelling and calling his name out in a fit "Yea that's me again, I wasn't the most well behave colt in the land, the place was so boring, so I find ways to entertain myself." The young colt was stopped by some guards and then picked up by them. Quill puffs his lips and groans "Awww come on! That's no fair!" the guard sighs and carries Quill back to the castle, while paying for the stolen apple to the earth pony. The two reach the castle shortly and and Quill is set down on the castle's main hall. Quill sits down and huffs "Why do you have to always follow me?" asking the guard. The guard bums the handle of his spear on the back of his head "Cause your father ordered it, that's why, also don't think you can cry to the king and say I'm being mean, he gave me orders not to be easy on you either." The voice of Quill echo's again "Oh yea, did mention I'm the heir to this land? I didn't? Whoops~! Hehehe." Quill looks up at the guard and sighs "It's so boring around her, dad is to busy training the pegasus and earth ponies, while mother is training the new batch of unicorns how to use there gems...." The guard smiles "Well, why don't you ask to play with me?" Quill huffs with a hint of him laughing "Oh right, like a royal guard knows how to have fun, all you guys do is stand at the gates and don't move." Quill turns his head and then goes wide eyed as he sees the guard do just as he said, motionless and staring straight ahead. "Uh, are you okay?" he ask the guard, the guard quick jolts his head to Quill and goes "Boo!" Quill rolls back screaming out "GAHH DON'T DO THAT!" The guard laughs and motions to Quill "Come now, we need to get you to your flying instructor. Quill smiles and jumps on the back of the guard "Awww but I want you to train me how to fight!" The helmet of the guard falls foward covering his eyes, he laughs and responds "Hehehe, well I can't do that until you know how to fully fly, also....hard to train you when I can't see~!" The guard fixes his helmet and smiles at Quill. Quill nods in agreement as the guard carries Quill to the courtyard training course.
Quill's voice echos again "A few years passed and I learned to fully fly, along with some combat training, I was slowly getting ready to take the throne, and rule over the Gem Kingdom, But that day wasn't going to come...."
A room filled with gems and amulets cover the tables and shelves as Willow is looking at the blue gem, she sighs and shakes her head "Why won't this gem work? I've tested it and there is some feedback when it's introduce to magic, but it's not accepting any of the scholars, or guards. Quill walks into the room "Mom, is everything okay?" Willow turns her head to Quill and nods walking to him "Could you be a dear and keep an eye on that gem and let me know if anything happens?" Quill looks at the Gem behind held by two metal prongs, he looks to his mother and nods as Willow leaves the room "I'll be back shortly I have to get the new batch of harvested gem's from the mountain, and Quill, try not to break the Gem's okay?" Quill groans "Moooooom! I won't! Geeez!" he drops his head slightly agitated. Willow smiles and walks out and closes the door. Quill walks up to the blue gem and stares at it, he tilts his head and sighs "What's so special about this stupid thing anyway?" He looks over his shoulder at the door then back to the gem "Seems like a normal rock to me." He leans his head a lil closer to the gem trying to see if anything is different about it, it starts to ring and chime softly, Quill leans his head back and goes wide eyed "What, huh?" he shakes his head and blinks "No, I was hearing things.......was I?" He leans to the gem again this time it shines brightly and chimes and rings louder. Quill lips out the words softly "What......tha?" The gem quickly brakes free from the two prongs holding it in place and hovers in place. Quill yells out in terror and stumbles on the floor crawling away from the gem "WHOA WHOA WHOA!" The gem zips in front of Quill's face, Quill backs up more his body hitting the wall behind him, scared and confused he runs to the door and opens it and closes it behind him. The Gem spins and hurls to the door and breaks thru leaving a hole near the side of Quill's head. Quill goes wide eyed and stares  at the Gem and looks at the hole of the door next to his head. He takes a big breath then slowly looks at the Gem and yells loudly as he runs away "HEEEEELLLLLLPPP!!!! A GEM IS TRYING TO KILL ME!!!!" A few guards rush to Quill, as the young colt stops behind them pointing with his hoof "A gem! A gem i-it's trying to kill me!" The one of the guards confused looks down at Quill "Okay enough with the pranks Qu..." the Guard stops short of his words as a pinging sound his the back of his head "OW! HEY!" he looks behind him and see's the Gem floating in front of him, the Gem repositions and hovers slightly in front of Quill as he hugs the other guards leg, trying to hide his face in the guards leg "Make it go away!" Quill says in a terrified voice. Both guards look at each other in shock and look at the young colt and the hovering blue gem. Willow walks around the corner and notices all three of them. "What is going on here?! Quill did you do......" She stop's short as she see's Quill putting his front hooves over his face as the gem just hovers in front of him. Willow takes slow steps forward, with a shocked look on her face "I....it's....no...that's not possible! Quill! What did you do!?!" Quill looks at his mother with tears in his eyes "I swear I didn't do a single thing! It just started shining and making noises and just chased me when I ran!" The Gem still hovering over Quill's chimes and rings, and then circles around Quill. Willow drops a pouch of gem's and looks in awe. Everything goes black and Willows voice echo's with the final words of "Imposable...."
